This is our second recap of a makers & manufacturers – tech – meetup (m3) in Berlin. m3 is the leading community in Europe where we can geek out about #manufacturing, and one of the few events where you certainly meet makers & manufactures, and by far the most diverse group in this industry, definitely thanks to Berlin.

We just met for the 10th time since 2014. At previous events, we talked about Industry 4.0, small batch manufacturing or how car startups can be accomplished in Germany. This time, we met to talk about the manufacture of #wearables.

It’s November the 24th, we got us the Eventküche at hub:raum as venue. It starts as always at 7 PM. The beer is cold. Lucky as we always are, we got us 3 incredible speakers.

First, we learned from Patrick Baudisch, Professor at the Hasso Plattner Institute, about 3 of his research projects around wearable technologies. You can learn more about them here: link

Next, we learned from Gerrit Spass, Founder and CEO at Trivisio, about their smart glasses which are manufactured in Germany! You can learn more about them here: link

And last but not least, Thomas Gnahm, shared his vision for the Wear It Conference and HUB which are meant to foster innovation around wearables in Berlin. You can learn more about it here: link

We counted 54 members at this edition. This size is probably our sweet spot (for now) in Berlin. There will be at least 6 m3 events in 2017. There will be at least 3 m3 workshops (NEW) in 2017. There will be many partnerships and collaborations to explore the manufacturing industry from the makers perspective out of Berlin. If you want to participate in any shape or form, join us on and just PM the organiser.

Here are some impressions from the event:
